Summer Dresses 2009

After wearing nothing but coats, pants, and sweaters, it is a real joy to just have to slip on a sun dress and run out of the door. Sun dresses this season are seen in beautiful styles and shades. But not every sun dress can be worn by everyone. So here is a list of sundresses that will suit your personality, mood, and body shape to a T.

Short Neck
For those with short necks, slip on a dress with the collar turned up. When a collar is opened up, the neck gets elongated. Try a dress in a pretty pink to give it a touch of femininity. Update the dress if you wish with wedge heels and a belt. To hide flabby arms, wear a dress with ? sleeves to cover up yet maintain the summery feel.

Pear Shaped Body
A pear shaped body means having wide hips compared to the chest area. So to create a proportionate figure, play up the top and draw attention away from the bottom. A boat neck and cap sleeves widen the top to create a well balanced body while soft pleats emphasise as slender waist and gather out at the hip to camouflage them.

Drama Queen
Dresses in loud wild prints are great who want an edge even while dressing casual. No accessories should be worn though with crazy print. They are not needed. Add a bracelet or simply studs if you must. A shift dress is great to hide a thick waist.

Flabby Tummy
Baby doll dresses are great to hide an unwanted waist but if your body is really curvy and hour glassed, stay away from it. A scoop neck deters eyes from the stomach and to the chest. It also falls loosely over the rest of the body which camouflages tires and love handles. Another great tummy trimmer is a dress in the empire style. Small prints go better with the small boned while larger prints with the larger boned. If you have stocky legs, stay away from fancy hem lines.
